| This 8 week Medical Administrative Assistant Course performs various administrative tasks depending on the day-to-day demands of the office. Using your knowledge of medical terminology and software applications you will be charged with checking in patients at the front desk, answering the phones, scheduling patients appointments, conducting interviews with patients regarding their case histories before the schedule appointment, completing medical records and charts, operating computer software and office equipment, transferring lab results to the appropriate clinic and maintaining supplies and the appearance in the office. A Medical Administrative Assistant typically works in a hospital, clinic, or private setting. This course will be a total of 60 hours and consist of a hybrid learning environment. After successful completion of the course the learner will be able to take their national certification through National Healthcare Association. |

| With training as a Patient Care Technician, also known as a patient aide, graduates will be able to work in a variety of healthcare settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health care agencies, and doctors’ offices. The Patient Care Technician program combines training in Certified Nursing Assistant, EKG Technician, and Phlebotomy Technician courses. | Being that CPCT/A is an advanced Nursing Assistant, students are required to obtain their CNA certification, Medication Technician, Basic Phlebotomy, and EKG Technician Certificate to excel in this program. Students will learn the basics of being a Patient Care Technician and are prepared to take the Patient Care Technician/ Assistant (CPCT/A) exam provided by the National Healthcareer Association taken at the facility. | During this six-week class, offered on Saturdays, students gain the knowledge and experience to pass the national exam and become certified as a personal trainer. Work with clients one-on-one in gyms, spas, medical facilities, or work for yourself. This nationally accredited program covers both textbook knowledge and hands-on practical training, preparing you to work with clients one-on-one in fitness facilities. Students participate in virtual lectures during the morning portion of the class, which cover topics like biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage, and nutrition. Reading and studying outside of class is imperative for successful class completion and passing the exam. The afternoon portion of the class is held at a local gym and covers practical aspects of being a personal trainer. Prior to obtaining the Personal Trainer Certification, students must pass the national exam given the last week of class. Students are also required to become Adult CPR/AED certified (not included in this class). Textbook required.

| This course provides the student with the skills that are important in assisting the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Students will be trained in how to interpret prescription hardcopies, pharmacy calculations, processing a prescription, pharmacy laws, compounding and packaging of medications.
