Program description:

The CNA/PCT Bundle Program prepares students for careers as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. The program includes classroom and virtual instruction, hands-on clinical training, and supervised practicum experience. Students must successfully complete the CNA course and pass the South Carolina Nurse Aide Examination before beginning the PCT course. The PCT curriculum includes Medication Technician, Basic Phlebotomy, and EKG training. EKG Certification exam fees are not included, and students may challenge the state exam at their own expense.

Description of business partnerships:

Partnership with Ridgeland Nursing Home for Nursing Assistant clinical training. Partnership with Beaufort Adult Education for students who are interested in healthcare as a continuing career pathway. The additional partnership is with LowCountry Action Agency and Palmetto Goodwill, which pays 100% tuition for qualified candidates.
