Welding II, Shield Metal Arc 2 (WD)
This course covers the safety, equipment, and skills used in the shielded metal arc welding process. Fillet welds are made to visual criteria in several positions. Prerequisite: successful completion of Level 1 or permission of instructor. Please wear heavy leather closed toe boots without mesh (you can get them from Walmart), jeans and bring safety goggles to class. (You are not able to wear tennis shoes, sweats, shoes with mesh, shorts, or synthetic pants.) Limited enrollment. AWS Certified Instructors. Welding shields, gloves and jackets are provided but you can bring your own and the instructor will inspect to make certain it is safe and able to be used in class. 6.000 Continuing Education Units
