MIG and Flux Cored Welder- CE

Program description:

This program focuses on the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) processes. In two, 9-week classes you will learn how to use both processes, including MIG Spray Transfer and MIG Pulsed Spray Transfer to weld in all positions. You will also learn how to properly setup and use an Oxy-Fuel Torch. The MIG and Flux Cored Welder Certificate is a stand alone certificate, but can be combined with the Stick and TIG certificates to earn the Comprehensive Welder Certificate. Students are required to purchase approximately $400-500 worth of welding gear and small hand tools. Courses taken in this program may be applied toward academic program courses. This will be done on a case-by-case basis.
