Program description:

This program focuses on the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) processes. In two, 9-week classes you will learn how to use MIG Spray Transfer to weld in all positions. You will also learn how to properly setup and use an Oxy-Fuel Torch. The MIG and Flux Cored Welder Certificate is a stand-alone certificate but can be combined with the Stick and TIG certificates to earn the Comprehensive Welder Certificate. Students are required to purchase approximately $400-500 worth of welding gear and small hand tools. Courses taken in this program may be applied toward academic program courses. This will be done on a case-by-case basis.
