Pharmacy Technician
This course provides the student with the skills that are important in assisting the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Students will be trained on how to interpret prescription hardcopies, pharmacy calculations, processing a prescription, pharmacy laws, compounding and packaging of medications. This course includes HIPAA, medication ordering process, and inventories. Upon successful completion of this course they will receive a certificate of completion an will provide the information to take the PTCB exam. The student can pay the LLR fee and get a state Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
