Second Chance Job Center
Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) - BCT
Second Chance Job Center, LLC will be teaching The PACT (Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training) Program in BCT. SCJC Programs prepare students (including at risk and under-served populations such as youth, veterans, reentering citizens and displaced workers) with the skills and experience needed for a successful career in the building / construction industry through mentoring, pre-apprenticeships, job and career placement services. SCJC's Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) curriculum combines performance based learning in the building trades with academic skills training that includes life skills, career development, and paid on the job training. PACT curriculum is based on NAHB’s Green Building Standard™, National Skills Standards and RCA - Residential Construction Academy learning.

Our partnership with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Home Builders Association (HBA) allows us to teach the PACT Program as it was designed, which means students receive academic training and real life, hands on training with HBA members and other employer partners during their 6 to 12 Month academic and practical training / education period. SCJC is also partnered with registered apprenticeship training providers in the following industries: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Building Construction Technology (BCT) who provide the registered apprenticeship training if students decide to pursue a full registered apprenticeship.
