Pharmacy Technician
In this program, students are required to complete the Medication Technician course as a prerequisite, providing a strong foundation of hands-on experience. This preparation also offers students the opportunity to gain employment while pursuing their Pharmacy Technician studies. The program covers the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a pharmacy technician and prepares students to take the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) exam administered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), as well as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) for national certification. Areas of study include pharmacy terminology, medical abbreviations, ethics, medication technician concepts, general mathematics, and pharmacology.
