PEE DEE MEDICAL CAREER TRAINING CENTER, LLC
PeeDee Medical Career Training Center was established to provide high-quality healthcare training for non-degree students seeking employment in various areas of the medical field. Our goal is to give our students the opportunity and knowledge to obtain multiple certifications essential for entering the rapidly expanding healthcare industry. Students will be equipped with the necessary intelligence, that will empower them to be successful in passing their exam. We aim for our graduates to be highly productive in providing top quality healthcare services in a diverse healthcare setting.
Dental Assistant
This program will cover the essential skills to become a dental assistant. Students will learn the role of the dental assistant. Students will gain the importance of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure that the dental office will run smoothly. Students would learn their responsibilities of assisting during procedures, prepare instruments, x-rays, educate patients and scheduling follow up appointments. Students will gain both hands-on patient care and organizational support, and dental assistants are vital to the overall functioning and success of dental practice. Upon completing the class students will be eligible to take the National Exam. Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), Infection Control Exam (ICE), Radiation Health Aid Safety (RHS). There are 178 hours of lecture/class, Clinical Site 160 hours for the ABHES and 12 hours of exam review. Clinical hours is include in the length of program for a total of 350 hours program. Clinical hours will vary on the clinical site and the student's schedule.
