PeeDee Medical Career Training Center was established to provide high-quality healthcare training for non-degree students seeking employment in various areas of the medical field. Our goal is to give our students the opportunity and knowledge to obtain multiple certifications essential for entering the rapidly expanding healthcare industry. Students will be equipped with the necessary intelligence, that will empower them to be successful in passing their exam. We aim for our graduates to be highly productive in providing top quality healthcare services in a diverse healthcare setting.
Patient Care Technician
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) program is designed to train individuals to provide direct care to patients in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities. The Patient Care Technician program combines training in Nursing Assistant, EKG Technician, and Phlebotomy courses. The curriculum of a PCT program aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles as caregivers, assist patients with activities of daily living, and support nursing and medical staff. Individuals will learn patient safety, quality assurance, and universal and standard precautions. Students will be eligible to take the Certified Patient Care Technician/ Assistant CPCT/A exam. Clinical sites are available.
